To end our summer on a good note...we headed down to Galveston to enjoy the sand and water. But sadly.....as can see from the pictures the kids just did not enjoy the sun, sand and water. Bless their hearts maybe next year.....
With hurricanne Ike last September I was afraid it would not be the same. But I have to say....it looked great. Granted there were some abandoned buildings, hotels and houses that have never been rebuild....but all in all it was back to normal. And packed!
....Well maybe next year they will enjoy the beach.....poor things just did not enjoy it.....
I grew up going to Galveston and haven't been back since the hurricane. Been busy...ha! I love it though. Glad it was a good trip! It looks like they managed :)
Chili Dog Casserole Ingredients 8 hot dog buns 8 hot dogs 1 (15 ounce) can chili 1/2 cup chopped onions 2 tablespoons prepared mustard 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Fritos Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Tear up the hot dog buns and arrange the pieces in the bottom of the dish evenly. Slice the hot dogs into bite size pieces and layer the pieces over the buns. Pour the chili over the hot dogs, sprinkle with the chopped onion, then spread the mustard over the chili and the onion. Top off with the cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. The last 5 minutes of baking top with fritos.
I am a wife and a mother of three beautiful children who bring me indescribable joy and teach me new things everyday. I aim to be content with what I have, and I strive to be fulfilled in Christ.
