Broken Bow Bound....

Our weekend trip to Broken Bow .......
This has gone down into the books as one of the best weekend ever....no theme parks, no crowds, no hurrying around...just good company, good kids (there were 7 total so that says a lot), good food and more laughs then I can tell you about. Good times... here is what the weekend consisted of...

We drove up to our amazing cabin nestled back in the woods.....
I bought 200 water balloons, so the girls spent several hours filling them up.
...and it took 5 minutes for the water balloon fight! ...grilled out both nights. Fajitas the first night and steaks the next. We did cut cost a little and didn't buy the 'best' steaks for the kids.....we now know if you pay $7 for 4 steaks they may not be the best. Ours on the other hand were delicious! mmmmm
....goofed off a lot!......relaxed a ton!
...hunted for one of a kind rocks!....had more water fights. Cody loves being on this end of the hose!..... hung out with cousins!
....thought I got the best group picture of the kids....then realized Cody was not in it!
....swam in the hot tub! ....goofed off in the hot tub!
....set the timer on the camera and got the WHOLE crew!
.....found a small stream...it had to be the coldest water I have ever been in, but it didn't slow the kids down.
....loving the water.
....one happy little boy....put frogs on the smallest child there....sorry Cody! ...caught crawdads!
...more hot tubing! ...caught fireflies!
...smiled a lot! (the best part)
.....all the kids! The adults were WAY out numbered!!!!
....all the cousins!....jumping for joy.....except Cody! :).....look at this view. God's little gift to us .....just amazing!

Looking forward to going back! So much fun!!!!!!!!!!!

My {not so} little boy

I cannot believe I am even typing this...Cody turned THREE over the weekend....time truly does go by fast! When I found out that I was pregnant I made a promise to myself that I would make sure and enjoy everyday/moment with him. Coming into the terrible 3's (sorry 2's are nothing compared to 3's) I hope I can 'enjoy' him everyday! :)
He brings so much laughter (noise), joy (noise), enjoyment (noise), pure love and a little noise into our house! The girls have amazed me with their unending love for him....I honestly do not know what we would do without him in our lives....God's plan is amazing!

We had a surprise 'off' weekend of soccer so we took advantage off it and hit the road....well just to Ft. Worth but it was so worth it! We had no real plans but loved that we didn't have to 'work' around anything....including naps! Almost freeing in a way....almost...although I do miss Cody's 3 hours naps everyday!

We hit Kincaid burgers on the way into town, Omni Theater, dinner at my favorite restaurant.... Joe T's and we had our own private indoor pool that night. Wow....what a good day! The next morning we got up and went to the Ft. Worth Zoo for the day. Cody woke up that morning (on his birthday) and felt pretty rotten. It was just a cold but a doozy of a cold it was! He was given LOTS of grace that day!!!!!! That night we meet Dell's family for dinner and then headed back home. It was a full couple days but it will hold GREAT memories for all of us.

Here is our weekend in picture.....
Dinner at Joe T's.....Ft. Worth Zoo.....
This is how we saw Cody for most of the day...in tears....Every ones favorite part...the birdsAmazingly enough Cody was one happy camper when he saw his cake....not sure where he gets his love of sweets.....?All he got for his birthday was this $5 grabber.....boy was it worth it!

Pretty sure if Chloe could talk she would be calling me some pretty bad names for getting this for him......she is such a good dog to put up with Cody....and now his grabber! Happy Birthday little man!
